I was born and raised in Akron, Ohio. My husband and I moved here in 2005 with 11 cats, and haven’t looked back since. I’ve been in the veterinary field since 1998, and have worked in shelter medicine, private practice, emergency and critical care, and internal medicine. I left the field full-time in 2013 to pursue more artistic endeavors, but found that I didn’t want to completely give up working in veterinary medicine. I landed at Two Rivers as a relief tech, and have worked here in that capacity for the past 10 years (although “relief” has often translated to part-time). After spending so many years here, it made sense to make it official and become a permanent member of the Two Rivers family.

I’m an avid runner, so in my free time, I’m racking up the miles, training for half marathons. I’m also a colored pencil artist, calligrapher, and mixed media artist. During COVID, I learned how to crochet, and have made several temperature blankets (usually while watching football or Netflix, and with a cat or two on my lap). I also volunteer for Cat’s Cradle Rescue, writing the bios for cats that are featured each month in the Beaverton Resource Guide. I share my home in Beaverton with my husband and our 5 senior cats, all of whom are rescues.
