Notes Regarding COVID-19 For Our Clients

Greetings to all our clients.

In response to current concerns about preventing the spread of COVID-19 we are requesting the following:
  • If you are experiencing symptoms of COVID-19 (fever, tiredness and dry cough) please reschedule any non-urgent appointments. Non-urgent appointments would include annual exams for healthy pets and recheck exams for ailments that are clearly resolving. Paid phone consultations may be arranged for recheck exams that are part of an ongoing health care strategy for your pet.
  • If you are experiencing symptoms of COVID-19 (fever, tiredness and dry cough) and your pet has an appointment for urgent concerns, please make arrangements for a healthy individual to bring your pet in for the appointment.
  • If you are not experiencing symptoms of COVID-19, but may be having similar symptoms associated with a known non-infectious illness (allergies, asthma, etc) please be considerate and let our staff know when you enter our building, and use good hygiene practices as recommended by the CDC (Cover your mouth and nose with a tissue or sleeve when coughing or sneezing. Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth).
According to the World Health Organization, there is no evidence to suggest that dogs or cats have become ill with this virus or will become a source of infection of COVID-19 in other animals or humans.
Many questions about whether or not COVID-19 is a concern for animals are answered on this website created by the Oregon Veterinary Medical Association:
